I was born in Chicago and raised in Winnetka, Illinois. My education in art began at the Chicago Art Institute when I was in grammar school. My grandfather was a costume designer for the Vienna Opera and my cousin is a well-known cartoonist and an accomplished watercolorist.

I am primarily an oil painter, inspired by nature and still life. I took up watercolor in 1990 when my husband received the Nobel Prize in Economics. We were traveling extensively and I was able to take watercolors wherever we went.

I have had twenty one-person shows, been included in thirty juried shows and participated in fifteen group shows. My work is included in private collections in Europe, Japan and twelve U.S. states. It has also been sold by Gumps, Nordstrom and Nieman Marcus. I am represented by the Winn Devon Art Group, Ltd. in Seattle, Washington.
